Highlights

Digital Data Setting

Fast, modern and fool-proof. Two to three times faster than the numerical button method and more accurate than the traditional potentiometer system Rim width and diameter can be set in inches or millimeters Wheel/machine distance is then made automatically and displayed.

1. Cycle Start Button, 2. Emergency Stop Button, 3. Unbalanced Readout Button, 4. Correction Mode Select Button, 5. Re-calculate Button, 6. Function List Button, 7. Distance Calibration, 8. width Calibration Button, 9. Diameter Calibration Button, a. Distance, b. Width, c. Wheel Diameter

Unbalance Optimizing Program

Allowing to optimize the relative position rim/tyre by compensating in the best way the  tyre unbalance with rim unbalance.  After making the various operations as prompted, there are the following data: rim  unbalance, tyre unbalance, rotation angle to be made for unbalance minimizing, attainable  percentage reduction relating to the initial static unbalance.

Functions
Unbalance Optimization
Automatic Positioning
Programmes for Static and Alloy Balancing

Geometric Optimization

THE ECCENTRICITY MEASURING SYSTEM (EMS): HELPS LOCATE THE RIGHT POSITION TO MOUNT THE TYRE ON THE RIM FOR  UNPARALLEL BALANCING RESULTS AND INCREASED TYRE LIFE.

Theory

Eccentricity Measurement Technology Update

A Square wheel can also be balanced… but will not give a smooth ride.  Balancing was sufficient… if the wheel never came in contact with the road. How to mount and align tyre’s which don’t have a paint dot… with a valve stem on the rim?  Need to take into consideration ROAD FORCE… as felt by the wheel. ELIMINATE TYRE AND WHEEL VIBRATION BY MATCHING THE TYRE TO THE RIM: First harmonic of the rim to be indexed to cancel the FORCE vibration.

Theory

If a wheel has a tyre tread which is not concentric with the rotation axis, due to a tyre defect or to a rim deformation, this may often cause vertical vibration, even when the wheel is balanced. An eccentricity between the geometric axis of the wheel’s outer surface and the axis of its journal creates a lifting and lowering of the vehicle with each rotation of the wheel. This phenomenon would have a range equal to twice the eccentricity if it weren’t for suspension and tyre elasticity. When balancing a wheel, it is therefore advisable to check the tyre tread eccentricity by turning the wheel by hand and measuring the distance between a fixed point of reference and tyre tread in various position, or, better still, using especially-designed measuring device. An electronic device like the EMS (Eccentricity Measuring System) can be used to measure both the overall tyre eccentricity (Peak Value) and the eccentricity of the first harmonic alone very quickly. QUITE SIMPLY, THE EMS HELPS LOCATE THE RIGHT POSITION TO MOUNT THE TYRE ON THE RIM  FOR UNPARALLEL BALANCING RESULTS AND INCREASED TYRE LIFE.
